A woman bought a $2 ticket at a North Carolina Food Lion and scored a $1-million Mega Millions prize in Tuesday's national drawing, N.C. lottery officials said Thursday. Beating odds of 1 in 12.6 million, Monroe resident Anna Papp matched all of the white balls in the drawing — 1, 7, 23, 38 and 55 — according to a lottery news release and the Mega Millions page on NCLottery.com. Papp bought the Quick Pick ticket at the Food Lion on Idlewild Road in Indian Trail. Only two other players nationwide won a $1 million prize in the drawing, one from Iowa and the other California, officials said.
