INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — The local group held a balloon release for Donqwavias 'Quay' Davis Sunday afternoon. Walker was murdered at an apartment complex near UNC Charlotte in 2019. Mom's Ain't Playing gathered at Crooked Creek Park in Indian Trial to honor officers as a part of 'Quay Day.' Donqwavias' mother, Clydia Davis, said the goal of the events was to serve people in law enforcement because that's something her son did before he died. 'You gotta pray for your leaders. They lead us, they protect us, they serve us and this world would be a mess without them.
